A day in a life : Day one of Work Immersion.

On the day of March 4, 2024, it was a good Monday, Our Work Immersion started. The moment when I arrived at my Work site, the first feeling that comes out from my system was nervousness. I do not know this field and I’m probably afraid to sort myself out. But then, the woman is walking towards us and approach us, her name is Ma’am Gene Rose. She’s nice and she is a soft-spoken kind of woman. She gently approached us with a warm welcome smile and say, “good morning.” And there, the moment she started to say something was also the moment she begin to introduce us (my co-workers) to the other heads/supervisors along with the office. Ma’am Gene Rose introduced or acquainted us to some of rules and regulations. All and all, after that we entered the room and welcome ourselves, then we clearly introduced ourselves to them and it’s just really heartwarming because all of them was smiling. As a Humss Student, being assigned to the Office where there is a lot of works to offer exercises my skills and it is also enhancing my understanding on how things work. I was assigned to the Receiving Section, this area is one of the busiest area. I do a lot of things like Receiving documents/papers, tamping papers, recording emails, and I also encountered Teachers from different Schools. I believe that I need to be wide awake for this because I need to welcome teachers while having a smile on my face and be productive all day so that I can foster good and effective communication. Above this all, I learned to admit the fact that If we started to love the work we do, then we can achieve the best satisfaction by assisting and accomplishing the tasks we have in a day. And I think when the time comes to an end, I will miss working with my supervisors who thought me to be kind and friendly. I love this work and I think It will he hard for me to let go when once the time comes to its end.
